OVERVIEW:

WSUSMon is a simple, FREE utility that allows you to monitor Microsoft Windows Software Update Services version 2 (WSUS) in real time.

While I like Windows Server Update Service and use it a lot, I found that the reports it produced did not give me a good sense of current activity. I checked the WSUS SDK that Microsoft produced and there didn't appear to be quite what I was looking for either.

So WSUSMon periodically queries the WSUS Database and displays the current state of clients connecting to the WSUS server.
